Welcome

Hello, darlings. Doctor Emile's Theatre Tremendo is the banner under which we, your humble impresarios, Peter Budinger and DC Scarpelli, produce our fizzy little theatrical concoctions of Snake Oil and sugarwater. We've been collaborating on stage and off for almost 20 years. Twenty years? Holy Saint Mother's Day!

Below is all the latest about what we're up to… Thanks for visiting. We love you. Yes, you!

Love, Peter & DC

  • Spring 2011: Here comes the bride… We'll be directing Christopher Durang's hilarious and touching The Marriage of Bette and Boo at the Masquers Playhouse in Point Richmond.
  • Fall 2011: A touch of the ridiculous… A very special theatrical event for us... more news later this year...

JUST PAST:

  • July 2010: One upon a time… Our production of Alan Ayckbourn's This is Where We Came In at the Masquers Playhouse was a great success. We had the great good fortune of directing a marvelous cast and creative team that carried us through a packed weekend!
  • Spring 2010: Forbidden fruit… A villainous Spring as Peter played the murderer in DTC's production of Kander & Ebb's Curtains and DC played the Snake (and designed sets) for Bock & Harnick's The Apple Tree at the Masquers Playhouse. Peter followed that up with 42nd Street Moon's Very Warm for May.
  • Fall 2009: Something to Dance About! DC and Peter appeared together in Irving Berlin's Call Me Madam at 42nd Street Moon, with Peter appearing later in the fall in Cole Porter's Jubilee.
  • Summer 2009: Split me infinitives! DC appeared as Captain Hook opposite Chelsea Nenni's Peter Pan at Tri-Valley Rep, and then joined Peter, who played Nicky to Chelsea's Funny Girl at Diablo Theatre Company.
